After seventeen years of dedicated and earnest instrument building, I have decided
to discontinue fabrication of instruments.
I made the mistake of injuring myself repeatedly over the years, by building instruments
(especially bassoons and clarinets) the hard way, completely by hand, spending far
too many hours reaming, scraping, bending, filing and sanding.
If I manage to heal sufficiently in the future, I may return to building flutes.
But I do not have a definite date planned to resume.
I thank my many clients for their patronage and enthusiasm over the years and hope
to keep in touch.
I will honor the agreement to re-ream instruments gratis to the first owner, however
I will charge for shipping of the instrument. For instruments of mine that have
been re-sold, I will still be happy to re-ream and maintain them as needed, but will
charge for the time and shipping costs, if needed.
